Conflicker Update

So, it is April 2nd, the day after the Conficker virus was supposed to take impact and currently, nothing has seem to have been done. This could be because of the mass hype, people were more prepared. I downloaded software to protect my compute from the virus. More likely however, this was a media mass hype. The media easily minipulates us into being scared over these viruses and such. How many times did I hear the phrase "Weapons of Mass Destruction" during Bush's first term? The media tries to control our emotions. The fact of the matter is that now, after all the built up panic and concern, nothing has happened. Being a person guilty of getting over-concerned, I feel ast though my trust in the media is tarnished, not that it was that strong before. Its like the boy who cried wolf, when something serious does happen will we be ready?
